BASED IN ALTADENA, WE ARE A FULL SERVICE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OFFERING NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION, ADDITIONS, ADUS, & REMODELS
For the past 14 years, we have worked with architects and engineers to construct new buildings, additions, ADUS and remodels. We are knowledgeable about all Los Angeles area building styles, so whether you live in a 1890s victorian, a 1920s bungalow, a 1930s Monterey revival, a 1940s traditional, a 1950s ranch, a 1960s post and beam, or you want something brand new and contemporary - we will get the details right (see our WORK).
As part of the Altadena community, we are turning our focus to working with our community to rebuild their lives, homes, and neighborhoods.
Whether you already have plans and a permit in hand or you are just wondering what you might be able to build on your lot, feel free to contact us. We have helped our clients recoup insurance money they are due by providing detailed estimates of what it would cost to build the home they lost.
Our most successful projects tend to be with clients who involve us at the early design phase of their projects. We can help with preliminary budgeting and value engineering. It’s helpful to talk about what is practical to build before you’ve finalized your plans and have a permit.

MORE ABOUT US:
Our company is led by Alexander Symcox, a Los Angeles Native, now located in “The Meadows” of Altadena. Alex has over 20 years experience working on a wide variety of homes and buildings throughout Los Angeles, in all types of geography and landscapes. Archetype Inc. provides a wide range of construction services: new construction, remodels, additions and ADU’s.
We help our clients navigate through the confusing and daunting construction process from design, permitting to building.
We hope that as we rebuild Altadena we are able to preserve the character and feel of the neighborhood and to create structures that are more energy efficient and fire resistant.
